Brent Spiner is an American actor.

Biography[]

Born in Houston, Texas, he studied at the University of Houston where he began to appear in local theatrical productions. After a number of Broadway roles and television guest parts, he made his breakthrough in 1987 playing Commander Data in Star Trek: The Next Generation and subsequent films.

Spiner also made a number of film appearances, including The Aviator and Independence Day: Resurgence, as well as appearing in the stage play Life (x) 3.

Singing[]

Spiner's television career has been balanced with a number of roles in musicals, appearing in the original workshop and Broadway production of Sunday in the Park With George and playing Aramis in The Three Musketeers.

Spiner also sang a number of times in his role as Data in Star Trek: The Next Generation, as well as releasing two albums, Ol' Yellow Eyes and Dreamland.
