Bill Tidy is an English cartoonist and writer.

Biography[]

Born in Tranmere, Birkenhead, he first began designing cartoons whilst studying and later in the Army, before becoming a freelance professional, having his work appear in the Daily Sketch, Daily Mirror and Private Eye.

Tidy also appeared on television as himself on Watercolour Challenge, Through the Keyhole and Countryfile.

Singing[]

Tidy appeared several times on I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, during which time he sang such songs as "I (Who Have Nothing), The Mrs T in Russia Madrigal (an improvised duet) and Strangers in the Night.
