Bernard Lloyd

Biography[]

Born in Newport, Wales, he studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He appeared in a number of television series including The Spread of the Eagle, Emergency-Ward 10 and The Deep Concern, as well as the films A Christmas Carol and The Young Victoria.

Lloyd passed away in 2018.

Lloyd originated the roles of Charlie Stobbs in Jorrocks (having already played the character on television) and Obadiah in Obadiah. He also appeared as John Dickinson in the original London production of 1776.
