Ben Daniels is an English actor.

Biography[]

Born in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, he studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and made his stage debut in The Brontës of Haworth. He would continue to make theatrical appearances in (amongst others) Entertaining Mr Sloane, As You Like It, winning an Olivier Award for All My Sons and a Tony Award nomination for Les Liaisons Dangereuses.

Daniels also made his film and television debuts in 1987, appearing in episodes of Drop the Dead Donkey, The Virgin Queen, House of Cards and The Hollow Crown. He had roles in films including Conspiracy, Jack the Giant Slayer and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Daniels sang "Love is in the Air" in Fanny and Elvis and played Pontius Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar.
