Barbara Bates was an American actress.
Biography[]
Born in Denver, Colorado, she became a ballet dancer and fashion model before her screen debut in Strange Holiday. She had a number of appearances on film and television, most notably playing Phoebe in All About Eve. She also appeared in the film Cheaper By The Dozen and Belles on Their Toes and had a long running role as Cathy Morgan in It's a Great Life.
Bates passed away in 1969.

Bates sang two songs whilst playing Ernestine in Belles on Their Toes and "Boy Meets Girl/Catalina" in All Ashore, though her voice was dubbed in a later operatic number.
