Audrey Hepburn was a Belgian actress.

Biography[]

Born Audrey Ruston in Ixelles, Brussels, Hepburn was a ballet dancer in her youth and made her film debut in 1948. She had several small roles in films and revues before her first major supporting part in 1952's The Secret People. She would become a star soon after playing leading roles in the play Gigi and the romantic comedy Roman Holiday, for which she won an Academy Award.

Hepburn swiftly became a style icon and a critically acclaimed actress both on stage (1954's Ondine), and films including The Nun's Story, Breakfast at Tiffany's and Wait Until Dark. Though she wavered in later years, she still had success as Maid Marian in Robin and Marian.

Hepburn passed away in 1993.

Singing[]

Hepburn was not known for singing yet still gave several musical performances, beginning with Sabrina in 1954. She also performed several numbers in Funny Face including the solo "How Long Has This Been Going On?" and recorded several numbers for her role in My Fair Lady, though the majority of them were dubbed.
