Anjelica Huston is an American actress.

Biography[]

Born to the Huston acting family in Santa Monica, California, she began making small roles in her father John's films and worked as a model, before making appearances in The Postman Always Rings Twice and Prizzi's Honor, winning an Academy Award for her portrayal of Maerose Prizzi. She later earned a nomination for her part in The Grifters.

Huston noticeably played Morticia Addams in the Addams Family film series and worked on two Wes Anderson films, The Royal Tennenbaums and The Life Aquatic With Steve Zisou. She also directed a number of projects, beginning with Bastard Out of Carolina in 1996.

Singing[]

Huston twice performed in her role as Eileen Rand in the television series Smash, including "September Song", first sang by her grandfather Walter.
