Aneurin Barnard is a Welsh actor.


Born in Bridgend, he studied at the Royal Welsh Academy of Music and Drama and went on to appear in a number of television dramas including Iron Clad, We'll Take Manhattan and War and Peace as well as notably appearing as Richard III in The White Queen. He also had roles in films including The Adventurer: The Curse of the Midas Box, Bitter Harvest and Dead in a Week (or Your money back.)


As well as appearing in the Bridgend County Youth Theatre's production of Singin' in the Rain, Barnard was the original Melchior in the London cast of Spring Awakening, for which he won an Olivier Award. He played the role of Davey in the independent musical film Hunky Dory and released an album entitled Sounds from a Monday Afternoon.
