Alan Tilvern was an English actor.
Biography[]
Born in Orrendina, London, Tilvern made his film debut in 1956 and had a steady career playing thuggish or tough characters. He also appeared in a number of guest television roles including Doctor Who and Dad's Army.
He also voiced Barliman Butterbur in The Lord of the Rings, and played the supporting role of filmmaker R.K. Maroon in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
Tilvern died of natural causes in 2003.
Singing[]
Tilvern made his sole singing appearance in the 1986 film Little Shop of Horrors playing a bum in the "Downtown" number, though his solo line was dubbed by Donny Gerrard.
